New Actor-Actress Couple Spot Dating on the Street? 

A street date video suspected to be of actor Lee Chae-min and actress Ryu Da-in is rapidly spreading online. It is known that the two are attracting attention as newly emerging rookie actors.

Both Lee Chae-min and Ryu Da-in are rookie actors born in 2000. They previously appeared together as supporting in tvN’s 2023 K-drama,  “Crash Course in Romance”, which aired in 2023. Additionally, Ryu Da-in recently gained significant attention for her role as Myung Jae-eun in the TVING original series “Pyramid Game”.

The aforementioned video, which was quickly shared on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, captured a man and a woman suspected to be Lee Chae-min and Ryu Da-in walking side by side on a street near Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul, during the daytime.

In the video, the woman (presumed to be Ryu Da-in) draped the jacket handed to her by the man (presumed to be Lee Chae-min) over her shoulders, and the man naturally received and held the woman’s bag as they walked.

Although both individuals wore masks and concealed their faces while walking, there seemed to be limits to hiding their exceptional aura. Lee Chaemin and Ryu Dain are known to be 190cm and 174cm tall, respectively.

The outfits of the two individuals in the video were confirmed to be identical to the attire in photos separately posted by Lee Chae-min and Ryu Da-in on their SNS accounts on March 24, further accelerating the spread of the video. It has also spread to major online communities in Korea, such as theqoo.

So far, netizens mainly speculated that the atmosphere evident in the video strongly resembled that of a couple, suggesting that the two are currently dating.

However, some netizens argued that since the actors appeared to be well-acquainted due to their involvement in “Crash Course in Romance”, the video may not necessarily indicate a romantic relationship. 

However, the majority of netizens poured out comments such as “They really look like a couple,” “They have a couple vibe,” “They match well,” “They seem very much like they’re dating,” “A woman wearing a man’s jacket and the man holding the bag sounds really like a couple,” among other.

On the other hand, the agencies of Lee Chae-min and Ryu Da-in have since confirmed the two’s relationship, stating, “They are close colleagues who are seeing each other with good feelings”.
