Netizens Praise Miyeon’s Attitude And Positive Mindset About Acknowledging Her Own Mistakes

On January 12th, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon appeared on Hyeri’s YouTube talk show content “Hyeri’s Club” as the second guest.

When asked, “How you do feel when you see negative comments?”, Miyeon said, “These days, people have hawk eyes. Looking at such comments, I think I can relate to them. Even if I make a slight mistake while singing, they notice it so well.”

She continued, “So if I say, ‘I couldn’t sing well’, they believe that I admit my mistake. I think I can rationalize it myself, in some way. So I come to think, ‘That’s right. I should do better next time’”.

Miyeon added, “Not many people would say ‘I hate you’ or ‘You’re not good’ for no reason”, expressing her willingness to honestly admit her mistakes and accept criticism.

The talk show video was reportedly filmed at the end of last year. On December 30th, 2023, Miyeon sang the OST “The Painted On The Moonlight” of the drama “My Dearest” at the MBC Drama Awards.

However, she drew attention when posting an apology on SNS, saying “I was very happy to be able to sing my favorite song to congratulate such an honorable event, but I was very nervous so I went off-pitch. I monitored the performance, and I think you must have been so surprised. I’m sorry to anyone who was disappointed and I will work harder in the future”.
