On January 12, a video was uploaded on Hyeri’s YouTube channel, featuring (G)I-DLE‘s Miyeon as a guest.
In this video, Miyeon revealed she became close with Hyeri through tvN’s “Amazing Saturday. The idol recalled, “She might not remember, but I was so thankful to her. It was an awkward and nervous recording, but she made me feel comfortable,” adding, “My mom was also thankful to her as well, saying Hyeri took good care of me when I was on the variety show.”
Asked what she felt when people said bad things about her, Miyeon expressed her opinion. “These days, people have the eyes of a hawk. When I see their comments, I can relate to them so much. I know it so well when I sing. But if I didn’t sing well, I admit it. Can’t I rationalize myself? Watching those kinds of things, I told myself I should not make a mistake next time. There are not that many people who say they hate me or they don’t like me,” she said.
Miyeon then said, “I think people can just like or hate someone for no reason. I think it’s possible because we’re celebrities.” Hyeri responded, “It’s a really healthy mindset.”
