Netizens Call This “Single’s Inferno 3” Contestant a “Try-Hard” for Attempting to Be Like the Iconic Song Jia

The latest season of “Single’s Inferno 3” has just been released, and it has already sparked heated discussions 

Among the memorable participants across seasons of the hit dating reality show, Song Jia (Freezia) is considered the most iconic. Upon her first appearance, she became viral for her visuals, aura, fashion, and the way she acted around others.

In the current season 3, contestant Kim Gyuri has particularly garnered attention for seemingly aspiring to be like Song Jia. However, she is not earning praise like Song Jia did. 

Kim Gyuri was the first cast member to make an entrance, immediately revealing her self-confidence regarding her beauty and visual appeal. Despite describing herself as lively, she admitted to projecting an initial impression of coldness.

However, this perceived coldness became more evident during an encounter with contestant Choi Hye Seon. When Choi Hye Seon complimented Kim Gyuri’s looks, Kim Gyuri’s reaction appeared nonchalant.

Kim Gyuri later confidently asserted herself as the best pick. She even criticized one contestant for being excessively bubbly and another for having no influence. Nevertheless, her confidence suffered a blow during the first coupling when she failed to receive any votes.

Netizens couldn’t help but draw parallels between Kim Gyuri and Song Jia. However, in Kim Gyuri’s case, it felt like she was overexerting herself while trying too hard to be like Song Jia, resulting in an impression of being arrogant. 

While Song Jia exuded confidence, she did it in an attractive way and never looked down on other contestants.
