Netizens argue when Chaeryeong (ITZY) was compared to Sana (TWICE): Fanwars happened because fans couldn’t accept this “similarity”?

Comparing Sana and Chaeryeong’s visuals, according to TWICE and ITZY fans, was an insult to both female idols’ visuals.

Chaeryeong (ITZY) has recently been a popular topic on Korean social media platforms when it comes to beauty. The position and role of female idols in the ITZY lineup has sparked debate on the internet. Many people say Chaeryeong is responsible for ITZY’s demise since she isn’t pretty enough, has no star aura, and is a “visual flaw” in the group.

Knet continued to erupt in controversy on December 19 on a subject comparing Chaeryeong and Sana‘s visuals (TWICE). Chaeryeong and her senior Sana have a lot of similarities, according to the author of the post. As a result, if Chaeryeong’s face were shortened a bit, she would look exactly like Sana.

However, this comparison was opposed by the majority of Korean netizens.  Fans think this is a huge insult to both Chaeryeong and Sana. Chaeryeong’s fans think that this comparison is an ironic hint that she has a longer face than her senior.  On the other hand, some Sana fans are annoyed because she is one of the prettiest members in TWICE but is said to look similar to the least pretty member of ITZY.

Many comments also suggested that the post came from an anti-fan of ITZY, with the aim of starting a war between the two fandoms.  So many netizens criticized the OP and asked him/her to delete this topic.
