The public is expecting to see Kim Jisoo and Kim Seon Ho appear at the red carpet of a major award ceremony in Korea.
After 1 months of voting, the “Seoul International Drama Awards 2022” has published the results in several categories (based on the voting). Accordingly, Kim Seon Ho and Jisoo (BLACKPINK) were remarkably ranked first place as the Actor and Actress with “Outstanding Performance of Korean Drama of the Year”. Fans are eagerly waiting for this “visual” duo to make their appearances in the live award ceremony at the end of September.
At the start of August, on the 1st, the organizing committee for the “Seoul International Drama Awards 2022” opened a voting round to find out the actor and actress with the most loved performances. This is a highly regarded award in Korea organized annually to honor the representatives of the country and of Asia in regards to acting.
At this 17th award ceremony in 2022, the best Actor and Actress categories, based on the audiences’ votes, are Kim Seon Ho (“Hometown Cha Cha Cha”) and Kim Jisoo (“Snowdrop”). The pair was revealed to have overwhelming votes compared to other nominees. Specifically, Kim Seon Ho made up half of the voting with 53.39% while Kim Jisoo held an impressive voting result, 41.58% of the votes.
On various internet communities, the majority of the public agreed with the results and deemed both actors Kim Seon Ho and Kim Jisoo as worthy of their respective results thanks to their recent performances in latest dramas.
Long-term watchers of the award show said that the organizers usually made the final decisions. However, the probability for the pair to grab the awards is still very high. The public hopes the two actors will make necessary arrangements to appear together on the stage and receive these prestigious awards.
The organizing committee also revealed that this year’s award show is taking place in-person instead of virtual as of the previous years, with close attention to the COVID-19 prevention procedures. The winners of these categories last year were Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin.
