An unexpected rapper reportedly participated in the making of NewJeans’s new song, drawing keen attention.
According to an article on July 19th, rapper Beenzino participated in writing the lyrics of “ETA”, one of the three title songs in NewJeans’s second mini album “Get Up”.
This song was composed by producer 250 from BANA, the same company as Beenzino. Apart from “ETA”, 250 also participated in two other tracks, “ASAP” and “Get Up”, in NewJeans’s new album.
250 is nicknamed “Father of NewJeans” among fans because he has produced several hit songs for NewJeans, such as “Hype Boy” and “Attention”.
In addition, BANA’s rapper Kim Xim Ya participated in making the track “Cool With You”, while BANA’s producer FRNK was also named in the credit of NewJeans’s new album.
In response to the news, netizens commented, “NewJeans is the best group in Korea”, “Since 250 participated in the production, the songs will definitely become hits”, “BANA has collaborated with ADOR so many times”, “It’s a win-win partnership for BANA and ADOR”, “NewJeans will sing lyrics written by Beenzino?”, etc.
NewJeans will officially make a comeback after releasing their second mini album “Get Up” at 1 p.m. on July 21st. The album contains a total of 6 songs, including the three title tracks “Super Shy” and “ETA” and “Cool With You”.
Prior to the album’s release, “Super Shy” was already introduced on the 7th along with the prologue song “New Jeans”.
“Super Shy” topped domestic music charts and ranked No.66 on the Main Single ‘HOT 100’ Chart announced by Billboard on the 18th.
