Netflix confirmed the production of “Hellbound Season 2”… “The punishment from Hell is not over yet”

Netflix’s “Hellbound” is coming back with Season 2.

At the global fan event “TUDUM”, which was held on September 24th, Netflix announced, “The production of ‘Hellbound Season 2’ has been confirmed”.

“Hellbound” depicts the phenomenon in which people are sentenced to Hell by supernatural monsters that appear out of nowhere. 

The story takes place when people who try to reveal the reality of this incident are intertwined with the religious group “New Truth Society” that revives in the middle of the confusion.

Screenwriter Choi Kyu-seok and director Yeon Sang-ho will be in charge of making Season 2. Director Yeon Sang-ho is expected to create another hit with Season 2. An official in the film industry said, “They will continue to show an expanded and deeper worldview”.

The story of Season 2 has already been decided. That’s because the character Park Jeong-ja (Kim Shin-rok), who died after the demonstration to Hell in Season 1, has been revived.

“Hellbound” already heralded a production that would create a syndrome. It is also receiving explosive responses from foreign media. CNN commented, “‘Hellbound’ is the new ‘Squid Game’”.

IndieWire complimented, “It’s a Korean blockbuster series targeting your soul”. The Guardian added, “It’s a masterpiece that will be talked about for at least ten years later”.
