Netflix’s reality sensation “Better Late Than Single” is officially returning for Season 2, following its massive success both in South Korea and internationally. The streaming giant has opened casting for new participants—specifically 20- to 30-somethings who have never been in a relationship.
The first season, known in Korean as “모태솔로지만 연애는 하고 싶어”, won praise for its refreshing take on dating reality shows. With zero experience but overflowing honesty and vulnerability, the “motae-solos” (those who’ve never dated) charmed viewers with their clumsy, sweet, and heartwarming journeys into love.
The series mixed makeover magic with romantic growth, showcasing not just outer transformations but emotional evolution. The unique format quickly climbed Netflix’s Global Non-English TV Top 10, while sparking widespread online discussions and fan content post-release.

Returning director Kim No-eun said, “Thanks to overwhelming support and empathy for our cast’s sincerity, we’re excited to move forward with Season 2. We’re looking for people ready to step out of their comfort zones and take a brave first leap into love.”
Fans will be pleased to hear that the show’s beloved “Some-Makers”— Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car, the Garden —are also returning to guide the new cast. The stars are actively promoting the new recruitment phase, with Car, the Garden cheekily commenting, “I really loved Better Late Than Single,” while Kang Han-na and Lee Eun-ji promised full support for anyone ready to “ditch their single status.”
Anyone in Korea between the ages of 20 and 39 who has never dated can apply now through Netflix Korea’s official social media channels. Season 2 promises more emotional firsts, more relatable cringe-worthy moments, and a new batch of brave singles ready to experience love—K-drama style.
