NCT’s Haechan To Be Absent From Schedules Due To Severe Tonsillitis

On January 9th, NCT’s agency SM Entertainment released a notice on the fan community platform Weverse, saying “Amid schedules in Japan, Haechan returned to Korea on January 8th due to symptoms of a cold and body aches with high fever, and visited the hospital”.

The agency continued, “After receiving treatment, medical staff advised that Haechan needed rest and stability due to severe tonsillitis, so he plans to take a short break from activities to quickly recover”.

As a result, Haechan will not attend Circle Chart Music Awards 2023 scheduled for January 10th. NCT DREAM will proceed with this schedule with six members, including Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.

SM emphasized, “Haechan’s participation in other future schedules will be decided according to his recovery status”, adding “We will do our best to help Haechan meet his fans again in good health condition”.

Meanwhile, Haechan couldn’t perform NCT 127’s concert “NEO CITY: Japan – The Unity” on the 7th and 8th of January due to high fever and body aches.
