On November 24, Mark attended a photo call event for the COSRX pop-up store held at Stage 35 in Seongsu. As usual, fans gathered outside the venue, hoping to catch a glimpse of the idol. Mark took time to explore the pop-up, posed for photos, and greeted the crowd.
However, a video clip of him leaving the venue quickly went viral capturing the moment he rolled down his car window to wave at fans, only to be met with a harsh outburst from security.

One fan who attended the event shared, “Do you know what made me so mad? Mark was just trying to wave to us, and the security guard yelled, ‘Why are you rolling the window down, f*ck.’ I was furious. Things were chaotic, people were pushing, and even fans who stood properly behind the fence got yelled at.”
Another post later included audio from the moment, confirming the guard said, “F*ck, don’t open the door.”
Fans were quick to condemn the security staff’s actions, emphasizing that the guard’s role is to protect, not harass, the artist. Angry responses flooded social media:
“A security guard’s job is to protect the artist not curse at them however they please.”
“You need to know your boundaries. He cursed right to his face. What did Mark do wrong? He was just waving. It’s disgusting.”
The incident has reignited discussions about idol treatment at public events and the professionalism expected from security personnel. Many fans are now demanding an official apology or disciplinary action for the unacceptable behavior.
