Narsha Talks About Her Comeback After 13 Years, “I Understand That Fans Changed Idols While Waiting”
Singer Narsha shared witty talks on Kim Shin-young’s radio program
Narsha guested on the December 19th broadcast of MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope”.
On the radio show, Kim Shin-young asked Narsha about the reason she decided to join E Channel & Channel S’s entertainment program “Playing Sisters”. In response, Narsha said, “When I received the casting offer, I looked at the cast lineup and wondered if I could say anything on the show. Luckily, we all knew each other before so I was able to relieve the awkwardness”.
Narsha shared, “Today’s episode will feature Chunja”. When a listener recommended inviting Bae Yoon-jung, Narsha replied, “Only singers appear on our shows. Its original name was ‘Sisters Who Played With Songs’ but we shortened it”.
Narsha recently made her comeback after 13 years with the new song “GAME”. She confessed, “I paid for the production, investment, and planning with my own card”. In particular, the song drew attention as it was written, composed and produced by Deux’s Lee Hyun-do. Rapper Verbal Jint participated in the song as a featuring artist.
Narsha said, “To be honest, I wasn’t close with Lee Hyun-do but I asked for his contact and visited his studio. I’m normally shy but I gathered my courage to ask him to work with me on the album because I believed he was the only person who could express the ideas in my head. Luckily, the senior agreed and the process went smoothly”.
When asked if she noticed the recent popularity of her song “Bbi-ri Bbabba”, which was released in 2010, among MZ Generation people, Narsha said, “They should have found out about the song back then”, adding “Lee Ji-hye released a song called ‘Love Me Love Me’ in the past, but it didn’t perform back then and she has not released any new album until now. However, the song is as famous as IU’s music”.
Lastly, Narsha drew laughter with her witty message toward fans who have been waiting for her comeback for a long time. She said, “I know you guys changed your idols while waiting for my album. I understand that. Now that I’ve released an album, please listen to it. Come back”.
