The criminal trial involving former Nana member and actress Nana (real name Lim Jin Ah) took another turn after key witnesses connected to her injury diagnosis failed to appear in court.
On May 12, the 4th hearing for a man in his 30s, identified as “A,” was held at the Uijeongbu District Court Namyangju Branch. The defendant is accused of breaking into Nana’s home in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, and threatening Nana and her mother with a weapon during an attempted robbery in November 2025.
According to reports, two individuals connected to the issuance of Nana and her mother’s medical injury reports were originally scheduled to testify during the hearing. However, neither witness appeared in court.
The court stated that it had not confirmed whether the witnesses were unable or unwilling to attend. While the medical reports will remain as evidence, the court ordered a factual inquiry request to the hospital involved.
The prosecution and defense were instructed to submit the related inquiry results within two days. The witness examination is now scheduled for May 19, with the court confirming that the same date will also serve as the final hearing before sentencing.
The suspect, identified as A, allegedly entered Nana’s residence at around 6 a.m. on November 15, 2025, and attempted to rob the singer-actress and her mother while threatening them with a weapon.
The case previously drew attention after A filed a counter-complaint against Nana, accusing her of attempted murder and assault, claiming he was injured while being restrained during the incident. Police ultimately ruled Nana’s actions as self-defense and declined to forward the case for prosecution.
Following that decision, Nana’s side reportedly filed a false accusation complaint against A.
The sentencing hearing for the defendant is scheduled for June 4. “The court will proceed with witness questioning on the 19th and conclude with the final hearing that same day,” the judge reportedly stated during proceedings.
