The police handed over the hair and urine samples of singer Nam Tae Hyun (former WINNER member) and influencer Seo Min Jae to the National Forensic Service.
On September 28th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced, “We recently summoned Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae, who are suspected of using drugs, to collect urine and hair for the National Forensic Service.”
“Once the results of the National Forensic Service’s examination are released, we will summon the two people for investigation,” they also added.
It was reported that Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae have appeared at the police station separately.
Previously on August 20th, Seo Min Jae posted on her SNS that Nam Tae Hyun took the drug methamphetamine from a syringe in her room or in the company cabinet. She also accused the singer of beating her up after using drugs.
Seo Min Jae then immediately deleted her post, though she later claimed she had photos and a recording of the singer. Meanwhile, Nam Tae Hyun’s side claimed that it was just a dispute between lovers, ignoring the drug accusations.
Netizens reported the incident to the police, and the two were later booked for investigation for violating the Drug Control Act.
On the other hand, Nam Tae Hyun debuted in 2014 with the YG Entertainment boy group WINNER. He left the group after 2 years and started to be active in the indie band “South Club”.
Meanwhile, Seo Min Jae appeared in Season 3 of the Channel A dating program “Heart Signal” in 2020. Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae have revealed themselves as lovers.
