Nam Joo-hyuk: “I didn’t remember filming commercials with Kim Tae-ri” (Twenty-Five Twenty-One)

“Twenty-Five Twenty-One” Kim Tae-ri and Nam Joo-hyuk talked about their relationship.

On Feb 9th, the press conference of tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” (written by Kwon Do-eun / directed by Jung Ji-hyun) was broadcast online. Director Jung Ji-hyun, actors Kim Tae-ri, Nam Joo-hyuk, Kim Ji-yeon (Bona), Choi Hyun-wook and Lee Joo-myung attended the event to talk about the work.

Twenty-Five Twenty-One” depicts the wandering and growth of young people whose dreams were taken away, taking place in the 1998 era. It’s the story of two people who first met each other at the age of twenty-two and eighteen before falling in love and growing up together at the age of twenty-five and twenty-one. From the refreshing first love to the chemistry of five young people who share the excitement and difficult worries of being confused between friendship and love, the drama will remind us of our pure and fierce youth.

Kim Tae-ri plays Na Hee-do, a promising high school fencing player, who has lost her team due to the IMF crisis but will never give up due to her fiery passion and spirit. Nam Joo-hyuk takes on the role of Baek Yi-jin, who became a reporter after living a hard life as the eldest son of a family that has been shattered by the IMF.

Nam Joo-hyuk said, “I thought this was the first time I saw Kim Tae-ri at a filming location, but later thinking about it, I realized that I had met her before. We filmed an advertisement together a few years ago. It was embarrassing, but thanks to her, we were able to quickly get to know each other.”

Kim Tae-ri drew laughter by saying, “We filmed two commercials together, but I wonder how he couldn’t remember both of them.” She also revealed the strong chemistry between the two on the set, raising expectations for the work.

Twenty-Five Twenty-One” will premiere at 9:10 PM on Feb 12th.
