Nam Hyun-hee Made Post Similar To G-Dragon’s Following Ex-Fiance’s Imprisonment Sentence

Olympic fencer Nam Hyun-hee expressed her feelings after the first trial of her ex-fiance Jeon Cheong-jo

On February 15th, Nam Hyun-hee made a post on her Instagram account, saying “사불범정(邪不犯正). Evil cannot prevail over good. In other words, it’s an old idiom indicating that justice will inevitably prevail”.

She added, “사필귀정(事必歸正). Justice will prevail in the end. It’s an idiom implying that everything must go back to the right path”.

Nam Hyun-hee drew attention with her mention of “사필귀정” as singer G-Dragon also posted a photo of that idiom on his Instagram during the investigation into his drug allegations last year. Shortly after his post, G-Dragon was cleared of drug charges.

Nam Hyun-hee then searched “Truth” in the Korean dictionary and captured its meaning. In the released picture, the meaning shows, “Facts without falsehood. Pure and sincere in the heart without falsehood. A phrase that refers to speaking against the doctrine that offers forever unchanging truth”.

This message seems to be her feelings about the 12-year imprisonment sentence for Jeon Cheong-jo and her denial of her alleged involvement in the case as an accomplice.

Earlier, senior judge Kim Byung-chul of the Seoul Eastern District Court sentenced Jeon Cheong-jo to 12 years in prison on charges of fraud.
