Former SONAMOO member and actress Nahyun has revealed that she is expecting a child before officially announcing her wedding.
On March 14, Nahyun shared the news through her personal social media account, writing that while preparing for marriage, she and her partner received “a precious gift” first, directly confirming her pregnancy.
She explained that she had been spending time carefully and quietly during the early stages, and now that the pregnancy has reached a stable phase, she felt ready to share the news publicly. Nahyun added that although the order of events may have changed slightly, it felt like an even more special beginning for the couple.
She also revealed that the wedding will likely take place later than originally planned. According to Nahyun, the couple intends to prepare slowly and may hold the ceremony about a year from now. She expressed gratitude in advance for the warm support and blessings from fans.
Along with the message, Nahyun uploaded several photos that included an ultrasound image, a pregnancy test, baby items, and a maternity badge. The symbolic objects announcing the arrival of a new life conveyed the excitement and happiness of the soon-to-be mother.
Nahyun first gained public attention in 2013 after appearing in the music video for I Do I Do by Secret and later starring as the female lead in 1004 (Angel) by B.A.P. In 2015, she officially debuted as a member of SONAMOO, serving as a lead dancer and vocalist.
She later transitioned into acting, starting with the web drama The Miracle in 2016. Nahyun continued to build her career through projects such as I Started Following Romance on Olleh TV and Café Kilimanjaro on Naver TV. More recently, she appeared in the drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, portraying the gisaeng character Nancho at Myoyeongak and showcasing a more mature performance.
