On January 24th, Cha Chung-hwa’s agency IOK Company released a notice, saying “Cha Chung-hwa is pregnant”, adding “However, please understand that we cannot reveal the exact timing of her childbirth because it’s the actress’s personal life”.
The agency announced Cha Chung-hwa’s pregnancy three months after her marriage news in October last year.
Cha Chung-hwa married a businessman younger than her. The actress was born in 1980 and her husband is sad to be two years younger than her. When asked about dating and marriage in an interview with JTBC in the past, the actress shared, “I always dream of love and I need love. I love acting and food. I love pretty things, everything.”
Receiving Best Supporting Actress at the 2023 MBC Drama Awards after her wedding, Cha Chung-hwa said, “I recently got married and got my second family”, adding “I hope we can live happily together forever”.
Cha Chung-hwa debuted in 2005 with the play “Backstreet Story”. Later, she made her face and name known to the public after starring in various dramas, such as “Crash Landing on You”, “Mr. Queen”, “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”, etc. Last year, she worked passionately and appeared in “Kokdu: Season of Deity”, “See You in My 19th Life”, “Song of the Bandits” and “My Demon”. She is participating in an entertainment program by JTBC.
