“My Dearest” Nam Goong-min and Ahn Eun-jin’s Hanbok Pictorial Revealed

Actors Nam Goong-min and Ahn Eun-jin conveyed a poignant narrative in their pictorial

The magazine “Dazed” unveiled a hanbok photoshoot featuring Nam Goong-min and Ahn Eun-jin in its October issue. The two transformed into their characters, Jang-hyun and Gil-chae, from MBC-TV’s “My Dearest” (written by Hwang Jin-young, directed by Kim Seong-yong).

They faithfully captured the emotions in the drama. Nam Goong-min showcased the depth of his character with dark purple, while Ahn Eun-jin presented a new look with fusion hanbok.

In the interview conducted along with the photoshoot, Nam Goong-min said, “The writer’s lines are filled with the character’s charm. ‘I’ll be your servant’ and ‘I really hate you’ are Jang-hyun’s famous lines.

Ahn Eun-jin agreed, saying, “I often immersed myself and got emotional while watching Jang-hyun.”

How was Gil-chae, who is independent and candid, born? Ahn Eun-jin explained, “Rather than acting according to a set pattern, I think I acted while riding the flow well.”

They also shared their thoughts on completing Part 1. Nam Goong-min confessed, “Since I mostly do Friday-Saturday dramas, I’m happy that I can entertain people who say, ‘Let’s buy chicken and beer and watch the drama tonight.’

He expressed his sincerity, “I understand the feeling of coming alive the next day after watching a good work. It’s great to be able to share that feeling with viewers.”

Set during the Qing invasion of Joseon, “My Dearest” depicts the story of people who cultivate hope in the midst of hardship. Part 2 is scheduled to air at 9:50 PM on Oct 13th.
