“Music Bank” gave No.1 to IVE and paid tribute to the late Moonbin, “We will always remember him”
Girl group IVE held the first place trophy on this week’s “Music Bank”.
KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” broadcast on April 21st showed the girl group IVE (Ahn Yu Jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won Young, Leeseo, and Liz) winning No.1 in the third week of April.
On the broadcast, both the title song “I AM” and the b-side track “Kitsch” from IVE’s first full album “I’ve IVE” were nominated for 1st place. As a result, IVE took the No.1 trophy with “I AM”.
Expressing her feelings about winning No.1 on “Music Bank”, Jang Won Young said, “I’m so thankful that we took first place today. I want to thank DIVE (IVE’s fandom) for your support and love. Please continue to support IVE with our remaining activities for this promotion.”
After then, “Music Bank” MCs Lee Chae Min and LESSERAFIM Hong Eun Chae mourned the late Moonbin, saying “We will always remember Moonbin, who is not shining on the stage anymore but will be shining in our hearts forever.”
Earlier, the two MCs also paid tribute to Moonbin before starting “Music Bank”. They opened the show by saying “There was sad news in the music industry this week. Moonbin, who shone on the stage more brightly than anyone else. May he rest in peace”, adding “Please understand that the atmosphere on ‘Music Bank’ will be a little subdued this week”.
The “Music Bank” broadcast that day featured performances of various singers/groups, including DRIPPIN, IVE, TEMPEST, X:IN, ONEWE GIUK, Kim Woo Seok, DreamNote, Park Ji Hoon, Park Hyun Seo, ALICE, YEEUN, Lee Ki Kwang, Lee Chae Yeon, CSR, Kep1er.
