“Mother of 3 daughters” Sun-ye confessed, “Wonder Girls’ reunion? We’re waiting for an opportunity”
Sun-ye, a former member of Wonder Girls, expressed her feelings about her group reunion.
On the broadcast of SBS’s program “My Little Old Boy” aired on March 6th, Sun-ye appeared as a special guest and mentioned Wonder Girls. On this day, Shin Dong-yeop introduced, “She used to promote as a member of Wonder Girls and received so much love. After getting married, she has now become a mother of three daughters”. Sun-ye added, “My kids are 10, 7 and 4 years old”. Photos of her 3 daughters were released.
Then, Seo Jang-hoon said, “Sun-ye participated in an audition called ‘A project for the gifted with 99% challenges’ when she was 13 years old then made her debut as a singer. Since when did you begin to like singing?” Sun-ye said, “I have liked music ever since I was so young that I couldn’t remember how old I was back then. My grandmother and grandfather often played trot music, so I just followed them and naturally fell in love with music”
Seo Jang-hoon asked, “If your youngest daughter said, ‘Mom, I’m going to become an idol like you’, what would you tell her?”. Sun-ye replied, “I think I should consider how sincere she is and if she has the talent and skills. Then I would decide whether to encourage her or tell her the real story”.
Seo Jang-hoon also revealed, “I heard that Sun-ye gave birth to her first daughter at home in Canada, not at a hospital”. Sunye said, “I had a baby right after I got married in Canada, and I needed to cook something since I was craving for food, but the cookery in Canada is different from that in Korea. I am not used to living here in Canada and the hospital feels so unfamiliar. It seems like there was something strange. I’d rather give birth at home. My mother gave birth to me at home in the past, so I decided to do it at home like her.”
Shin Dong-yup asked, “How did you feel when you first held your first child in your arms after giving birth to her at home?” Sunye answered, “As you (mothers) must have experienced, you know that life suddenly appears in front of my eyes from indescribable feeling. Wow. Indescribable. It was a wonderful moment. When I said, “‘This is life,’ my heart was so full.” Tony Ahn’s mother asked, “Do you want to have another baby?” and Sunye laughed, “My husband is now ‘retired’. Three is enough.”
In particular, Shin Dong-yeop said, “It’s a question I hear all the time, but many fans are wondering if the Wonder Girls get together once again in the near future”. Sun-ye agreed, “When the good time comes or when there is an opportunity? We’re also waiting for that”.
