Moon Geun Young once swayed the audience in “Love Me Not,” the movie adaptation of “That Winter, the Wind Blows” with her portrayal of Ryu Min, a blind heiress of a tremendous fortune but was the target of deception by the male lead to take over her asset. Later, when feelings bloomed between the two, the lovers had to face internal struggles upon learning the male lead’s real motivation. 

Thanks to the role, Moon Geun Young was able to show she was more than the “Nation’s Little Sister” title people expected of her.

Song Hye Kyo was even said to have gone to a welfare center to observe and better understand the lives of the blind as well as to gain input for her acting.

She met again with Song Joo (Kwon Sang Woo) and they went down different routes to help Jung Suh regain her memories. 

This role actually became a highlight in Choi Ji Woo’s career along with the high status of “Stairway to Heaven” in Korean drama in general and in melodramatic works in particular.
