More staff who worked with Moonbin share heartfelt anecdotes upon his passing

The heartfelt tributes of those who worked with ASTRO Moonbin, who passed away at the age of 25, are making everyone cry.

On April 21st, a post titled “The story of Moonbin shared by an overseas interpreter team who worked with ASTRO several times” was uploaded on an online community.

In the post, a person (hereinafter referred to as A), who claimed to be a part of the interpreter team that worked with Moonbin, mentioned that the late idol was always the first person to greet the staff, and was extremely polite and humble. 

A also remembered Moonbin as a true professional in his work. Even when Moobin was not feeling well, he would dance as if his pain disappeared as soon as the stage lights turned on, said A.

They recalled, “He (Moonbin) loved snacks, so we once prepared a snack called ‘kattong,’ and he ate all three packs by himself. Later, he asked if he could bring the snacks home, so we bought five more packs in different flavors for him.”

At the same time, A described, “We wrapped the cookies in bubble wrap because they were very fragile and told him to carry them during the flight. In the car going to the airport, he held the cookies as if they were a delicate baby.”

According to A, the late Moonbin was considerate of the staff’s rest as well. 

“Our interpreter team often took breaks upon Moonbin’s request to his manager,” they said, adding, “Normally when working with Korean companies, it’s very rare for us to take breaks, even to go to the bathroom or during meal times.”

They added, “He was very worried about the health of the local staff members because we had to run around doing errands and various tasks”.

Lastly, A said, “Moon(Moonbin’s surname ‘Moon’ means the moon) eventually became a star”, adding “Moonbin ah, fly high. And rest in peace”, conveying their wish.

B, who recently worked with Moonbin, also posted a message on SNS to pay tribute to the late singer, saying “Many memories suddenly came to my mind”.

B recalled, saying “I still remember Moonbin as the child who suddenly said, ‘Seems like spring has come. Do you know the smell of spring? To me, this is the smell of spring’ then got excited when explaining the smell of spring in his memory.”

Meanwhile, Moonbin was founded dead at his residence in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on April 19th. His funeral was held on the 22nd with the participation of only family members and close colleagues.
