Moon Sang Min and Roh Yoon Seo win Baeksang’s Best New Actor and Actress Awards

Moon Sang Min and Roh Yoon Seo won the Rookie Awards at the 59th Baeksang. They thanked Kim Hye Soo and Jeon Do Yeon in their speeches. 

At the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards held on April 28th, the nominees for the Best New Actor/Actress Awards were Kim Gun Woo from Netflix’s “The Glory,” Kim Min Ho from ENA’s “New Recruit,” Joo Jong Hyuk from ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” Moon Sang Min from tvN’s “Under the Queen’s Umbrella,” Hong Kyung from Wavve’s “Weak Hero Class 1,” Kim Hieora from Netflix’s “The Glory,” Roh Yoon Seo from tvN’s “Crash Course in Romance,” Lee Kyung Sung from JTBC’s “My Liberation Notes,” Joo Hyun Young and Ha Yoon Kyung from “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.” 

The honor went to Moon Sang Min, who played Crown Prince Seong Nam in “Under the Queen’s Umbrella,” and Roh Yoon Seo, who played Nam Hae Yi in “Crash Course in Romance.”

Moon Sang Min said, “I am grateful to the viewers who loved ‘Under the Queen’s Umbrella’ and made it possible for me to attend this honored event“, adding, “Thank you to the director who led me like my father and the writer. I was happy and grateful to work with many senior actors and colleagues while filming the drama. I wouldn’t have been here without Kim Hye Soo. She was a great support to me. Thank you.

Meanwhile, Roh Yoon Seo said, “I’m more nervous than I thought. I was happy and had a lot of fun while filming ‘Crash Course in Romance.’ I was happy to receive a lot of love for my character. I think I’m here thanks to them.” She continued, “Thank you to the director and writer for allowing me to play Hae Yi. I love and respect senior actors Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho. I will never forget this gratitude. Thank you for the award.”
