On October 3, Moon Geun-young posted on social media, writing, “Curly curly natural curls. I felt good while drying my hair, so here’s a selfie after a long time.”
The uploaded photos reveal Moon’s trademark clear and youthful eyes, her naturally curly hair, and playful streaks of color. Despite being 38, her youthful appearance stunned fans. Most notably, even without a trace of makeup, her refined facial features and more defined jawline highlighted her ongoing physical transformation.

Moon Geun-young first debuted in 1999 as a child actress, gaining nationwide fame through her role as the younger version of Song Hye-kyo in KBS2’s Autumn in My Heart (2000). She went on to star in several hit films including A Tale of Two Sisters, My Little Bride, and Innocent Steps, earning the beloved title of “Nation’s Little Sister.”
In 2017, she was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition. However, after extensive treatment and careful health management, she made a full recovery. She returned to the screen in Netflix’s Hellbound Season 2 last year.
When she appeared at the Hellbound 2 press event, some online comments speculated about her health due to her slightly fuller appearance. Moon addressed the rumors directly, stating, “I’m completely healed and currently in a very healthy state. I did gain a bit of weight, but I’m now on a diet after seeing some brutally honest videos of myself. Instead of worrying about my health, I hope people cheer for my diet success.”
Now, with her radiant selfie and clearly defined features, fans are not only reassured but inspired by her resilience and honest approach to both health and personal growth.
