‘Moon Dong Eun’s mother’ Park Ji Ah, “Unlike my character in ‘The Glory’, I’m not a scary person. I feel like I’m shining these days”

Actress Park Ji Ah appeared at the Baeksang Arts Award as a presenter.

The 59th Baeksang Arts Award was held at the Paradise City Hotel in Incheon at 5:30 p.m. on April 28th and hosted by three MCs Shin Dong Yeop, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum.

At the award ceremony, Park Ji Ah, who starred in Netflix’s original series “The Glory” as Jang Mi Hee, the mother of Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo), showed up on the stage as the presenter for Theater Award.

Park Ji Ah said, “Many people know and recognize me as Dong Eun’s mother, but I’m actually not a scary person like that in real life”.

She added, “When I was a high school student, I thought about acting at the festival in my high school. People applauded me, who was just a normal student, as if I was someone special and important. At that moment, I felt like I was shining. And I’m experiencing it again these days after a long time”, revealing how she has been receiving so much love after the success of “The Glory”.

This year’s Baeksang Arts Awards judged content released on terrestrial channels, cable channels, OTT, and various web platforms from April 1st, 2022 to March 31st, 2023, as well as Korean feature films premiered and theatrical performances staged during the same period.
