Actress Jeon Jong-seo expressed her feelings about appearing in Netflix series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area”.
A video interview with Jeon Jong-seo, who starred in Netflix series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area”, was conducted on June 28th. Jeon Jong-seo played the role of Tokyo, a North Korean migrant who joins the robber crew.
Jeon Jong-seo appears as a fan of BTS and a scene where she dances to BTS’s song is also shown in the opening of the first episode. The actress revealed a behind-the-scene story, saying “The scene of me dancing to BTS’s song has been spread around like a meme. I did it while clenching my teeth. I like BTS, but it was really embarrassing to do a scene where I appeared as a North Korean girl who likes BTs and danced. I tried to stick to the script as much as I could.”
When asked about the biggest similarity between her and Tokyo, Jeon Jong-seo said, “We really like idols. Also, Tokyo has a strong and sincere trust in Professor (Yoo Ji-tae). That one is the same to me. We try to keep our promises and don’t easily betray the trust given by something or someone. It’s something like loyalty and blind faith.”
When asked about her favorite idols, Jeon Jong-seo replied, “They already disbanded, but I liked GFRIEND since a long time ago. I really like their songs, especially the old ones with GFRIEND’s unique color”. She continued, “Now, I’m a big fan of TWICE. The color of TWICE’s songs is currently my favorite”. The actress added, “I can’t dance and sing like them. I think I admire them because they can do things I cannot do. I think they are really amazing and beautiful. I like female idols more than male idols.”
“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” is a Netflix series about an unprecedented hostage robbery in which a genius strategist and robbers with different personalities and abilities face extraordinary variables set in the reunified Korean Peninsula. It was released for the first time on June 24th.
