“MOMOLAND’s junior” girl group LAPILLUS unveils its 6-member lineup, including a Filipino-Argentinian

All six members of LAPILLUS have been unveiled.

MLD Entertainment has recently revealed the complete 6-member lineup of LAPILLUS, their first girl group since MOMOLAND. The upcoming female rookie includes Chanty (born in 2002), Shana (2003), Yue (2004), Bessie (2004), Seowon (2006), and Haeun (2008).

In the lineup, Filipino-Argentinian member Chanty caught the most attention for her exotic, alluring mixed-race visuals. Chanty is a former actress and model in the Philippines before coming to Korea last year to pursue K-pop. She can speak 4 languages, Tagalog, Spanish, English and Korean.

Chanty previously appeared in a number of MVs such as JT&MARCUS’s “Dear You”, “First,” and Lylian’s “Every Moment”, showing off her acting. With her beauty and skills, Chanty is receiving great expectations from global fans.

Another familiar face of LAPILLUS is Japanese member Shana. Last year, she participated in Mnet’s survival show “Girls Planet 999” as a contestant.

LAPILLUS means to deliver the message “Shine Your Lapillus (Find our own color)” to the world, just like the meaning of the group’s name, “Jewels that change color depending on the direction of light.”

LAPILLUS is set to make their official debut on June 20.
