“Miracle in Cell No. 7” child actress Kal So Won reveals outstanding growth 

Kal So Won, the child actress from the hit movie “Miracle in Cell No. 7”, has revealed her recent remarkable growth.

On the July 11th episode of SBS variety show “Strong Heart League”, Kal So Won, who played the role of Ye Sung in the 2013 movie “Miracle in Cell No. 7”, appeared and shared her recent status.

On that day, Kal So Won revealed behind-the-scenes footage of her appearance in “Miracle in Cell No. 7” as Ye Sung, the daughter of Yong Gu (played by Ryu Seung Ryong). Here, Kim Ho Young introduced Kal So Won by saying, “She started acting at the age of 7 and was cast in ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ with a competition ratio of 230 to 1, becoming a top actress.”

Meanwhile, Kim Dong Hyun mentioned “Miracle in Cell No. 7” to Kal So Won, asking, “Do you remember that time?” At this, Kal So Won replied, “I remember each scene in fragments. The movie’s setting was in winter, but we filmed it in the summer. I had to wear thick clothes and it was tough.”

The actress then revealed the secret behind her tearful acting that moved millions of viewers, confessing, “When I yawn, tears come out a bit. I started acting with tears in my eyes, and it made me cry better.”

Kal So Won also disclosed her recent status. In particular, regarding a photo she posted on Instagram showing a gold medal, the actress surprised everyone by sharing, “I didn’t switch to being a professional athlete. I just enjoy sports. I’m currently attending Hallim High School in Jeju, there is a netball club, so I joined it. The shooter position suits me. In April this year, we participated in the Provincial Championship and won with a score of 12 to 10. I scored 7 out of the 12 goals”.

Afterwards, when Kang Ho Dong described her as being good at sports and a top student in her school, Kal So Won clarified, “I’m not first in all subjects. I like science, and I ranked first in science in my school in the first semester last year.”
