kpop idol sexual assault minor fan suicide note

A chilling post shared on X has revealed a suicide note from a 17‑year‑old female cosplayer, alleging sexual assault by an active K‑pop idol, sparking outrage and an ongoing investigation. The cosplayer, known by the name “Mone”, posted on November 6 that she was “heading to the sky” and asked her followers to attend her funeral—an apparent cry for help and the final expression of deep emotional pain.

According to posts by a concerned user who claimed to investigate the case, Mone had direct contact with the boy group XD (formerly XEED) starting with discussions about booking a Japanese venue. At that time she was reportedly in communication with 31‑year‑old former member Shun beyond a typical fan relationship.

In one sequence of messages shared online, the poster posted what they claimed were chats between Mone and Shun:

– “The payment too!” – Mone
– “We have to do it within a week~?” – Shun
– “What exactly do we have to do within a week besides the payment?” – Shun

According to the alleged timeline, Shun invited Mone to Korea on June 18, 2025. She says that after lunch at a residence and travel by car, she—still a minor—was forced into sexual activity against her will. The next day, Shun allegedly contacted her, telling her not to make things difficult, to stop being obsessed, and to stop associating with the fandom “Greenie”. She later developed depression and PTSD and is reportedly receiving psychiatric treatment. Her parents are said to be aware and are in consultation with authorities.

In response to the allegations, XD’s agency, XDREAM, released a statement confirming Shun’s removal from the group on July 30 and stating that none of the current active members are implicated. The agency said they have confirmed the safety of the individual involved and are working with legal and investigative bodies. They also claimed that demands and threats were being made by the side of the accuser linking all remaining members to the incident.

Shun also issued his own statement, acknowledging that he had a meal with the individual but denying other allegations. He stated he is cooperating with authorities and asked for no further speculation or dissemination of unverified information.

As of now, Mone has not posted further updates to her account. XD continues as a four‑member group following Shun’s departure.

The case is still developing and raises serious questions regarding fan‑idol contact, duty of care, and legal protections for underage fans in the industry.
