The civil lawsuit between former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and former ADOR employee identified as “A” has concluded its hearings, with the court scheduled to deliver its verdict in October.
On July 23, the Seoul Western District Court’s Civil Division 21 held the fourth hearing in the ₩100 million damages lawsuit filed by the former employee against Min Hee Jin. The lawsuit alleges defamation through false statements and other related claims.
The former employee first filed criminal complaints against Min Hee Jin in August last year, accusing her of defamation and violations of South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act. The employee also filed the separate civil damages lawsuit through the Seoul Western District Court.
According to the plaintiff, the former employee suffered workplace bullying and sexual harassment at the hands of ADOR’s vice president, identified as “B.” The plaintiff further alleges that Min Hee Jin, who was serving as ADOR’s CEO at the time, attempted to cover up the allegations. Min Hee Jin has categorically denied all of the claims.
After mediation efforts between the two parties failed, the court determined that both sides had substantially completed the presentation of their evidence and formally concluded the hearings.
With Min Hee Jin and the former employee maintaining sharply opposing positions throughout the proceedings, the court is expected to issue its final ruling on October 15.
