The promising music career of Meghan Trainor
Meghan has shown potential for music since as early as 11 years old, when she started learning to play music instruments and writing song lyrics. By the age of 13, her first song, “Give Me A Chance”, was created.
Then, Meghan learned guitar from Johnny Spaminato, a former member of rock band NRBQ, and officially started to become a singer-songwriter under Big Yellow Dog.
In 2014, Meghan rose to stardom with her 1st album and hit title song “All About That Bass”. The track topped music charts in 58 countries and brought Trainor numerous music awards. The song, which boasts a happy and positive message about being plus-sized, is a reflection of Meghan’s spirit itself.
Later on in 2015, Meghan Trainor released the studio album “Title”, and earned 1st place on the Billboard 200 chart. She would later be named the Best New Artist of the Year at the Grammy Awards.
Unfortunately, Meghan’s later releases such as “Thank You”, “The Love Train EP”, “Treat Myself”, and so on, did not attain as resounding successes as her initial works. In 2022, however, the singer-songwriter made a great rebound by releasing “Made You Look”, which became a sensation. The chorus of the song went viral among creators and influencers, who use it as the background music for their amazing fashion and makeup transformations. At the same time, “Made You Look” stays true to Meghan’s body-positive message, and reminds listeners to always love themselves.
Back in 2017, Meghan Trainor had an extremely turbulent and difficult time after being diagnosed with a vocal cord hemorrhage. As a result, she had to undergo a complete vocal rest, and receive surgery to fix the health issue. She also suffered from crippling panic disorder, anxiety and depression, to the point she could only converse with people via text messages.
According to Meghan, it was her family and her husband, Daryl Sabara, who motivated her and helped her pull through these adversity. Now, the singer-songwriter is living her best life with the people she loves while releasing the music she loves, without caring about the burden of success.
