Recently, a video titled “Behind the MC Mong Affair Rumors: Alleged Evidence Manipulation, Greed, and a ‘Uncle’ Figure” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Jirit Jirit. In the video, reporter Kim Sung-min alleged that while MC Mong was engaged in business dealings with Chairman Cha Ga-won, rumors circulated around June 2025 that MC Mong was allegedly involved in prostitution activities at a specific apartment complex.

According to Kim, residents repeatedly filed complaints with the building’s management office, claiming the apartment was being used for prostitution-related purposes. Due to the growing number of reports, the security office reportedly reviewed and disclosed CCTV footage. The footage allegedly showed MC Mong’s acquaintance entering an elevator late at night around 11 p.m. with several women believed to be hostesses. Kim claimed that when the footage was shown to MC Mong, he acknowledged the situation.

Residents of the apartment complex reportedly expressed concerns such as, “There seems to be prostitution taking place in our building,” and “Our apartment is being used as a venue for such activities.” The management office is said to have released the CCTV footage as part of an internal review. The disclosed video allegedly shows three women, presumed to be hostesses, entering and exiting an elevator with a male individual.

In response, MC Mong responded, saying, “It was a day when I had dinner and a wine party with acquaintances.” However, when asked by the reporter whether some of the women in the elevator were entertainment establishment workers, he replied, “Just because someone works at a bar doesn’t mean they engage in prostitution.” Nevertheless, it was reported that he eventually acknowledged the allegations.

Kim further stated that from the company’s perspective, an internal investigation was inevitable due to repeated resident complaints, noting that similar allegations had previously surfaced involving another idol, Ju Haknyeon of The Boyz, with MC Mong’s name also being mentioned at the time. While attention initially focused elsewhere, the issue resurfaced when the CCTV footage became public, prompting swift verification efforts.

According to the report, MC Mong allegedly stated his intention to step back voluntarily, saying he would withdraw from work-related duties within the company.

Separately, MC Mong is also facing allegations related to illegal proxy prescriptions. He is accused of receiving and consuming the psychotropic drug zolpidem under the name of his manager, identified only as A, further compounding the controversies surrounding him.
