“Marry My Husband” BoA said “My lips are fine”, but viewers’ criticism continues
As BoA appears as a gruesome villain character in "Marry My Husband", attention is drawn to her, but criticism of her acting pours out
BoA made an impactful appearance as Oh Yu-ra, the fiancée of Yoo Ji-hyuk (played by Na In-woo), on the Feb 5th broadcast of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Marry My Husband“.
However, after BoA’s first appearance, various criticisms about her changed appearance have been raised on various online communities and viewer message boards.
In response to ongoing criticisms about her appearance, BoA coolly addressed the issue during her SNS live broadcast, “These days, many people seem interested in my appearance. I have a habit of biting my lips. So it seems swollen. Many people are worried about my lips, but they’re fine. You don’t have to worry. My lips are fine.”
In episode 13, BoA’s character executed a scheme to drive Kang Ji-won (played by Park Min-young) to the edge of a cliff, revealing the true identities of Kang Ji-won and Yoo Ji-hyuk to Jung Soo-min (played by Song Ha-yoon) and Park Min-hwan (played by Lee Yi-kyung) and engaging in an inappropriate relationship with Park Min-hwan.
Despite BoA’s explanation, there is still ongoing criticism that the immersion level in the drama has decreased.
“Marry My Husband” is based on the web novel of the same name (by Sung So-jak) and was serialized on Naver Webtoon from 2021 to 2023.
With only 3 episodes left until the end, viewers’ attention is focused on how the ending will differ from the original work, especially after the introduction of Oh Yu-ra, a character not present in the original webtoon.
“Marry My Husband” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.
