Netizens shower these male Kpop idols with praise for acting gentlemanly with female celebrities.
Most male idols would avoid interacting with female co-workers in fear of controversies. However, several managed to not only avoid scrutiny, but impress the audience with their gallantry. BtoB Minhyuk, SEVENTEEN Hoshi, Super Junior Heechul, and ASTRO Cha Eun Woo are some prime examples.
Most recently, SEVENTEEN Hoshi had an impressive interaction with famous idol actress IU. In particular, when IU was talking, a bee landed on her dress, and Hoshi approached to brush the insect off her. He even used his sleeve to avoid directly touching the female artist.
In addition, when IU explained that the bee picked her due to her yellow outfit, Hoshi replied with the smoothest line, and indirectly praised IU. “It recognized a flower”, he said.
At the 2022 Kcon Premiere Chicago, BtoB’s Minhyuk was hailed for his treatment towards STAYC Isa. The male idol allowed his female co-worker to throw the event’s gift first, and despite being the senior to Isa, even used both of his hands to gesture respectfully. Isa later thanked Minhyuk politely as well.
Meanwhile, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo received compliments for his manners when interacting with actress Jeon Somin on a new episode of “Running Man”. As she lost a game, Somin was to have ink poured over her head by Cha Eun Woo, but the idol intentionally poured the ink outwards so that Somin would get less wet. He then also comforted the actress, and smiled gently at her.
Back in 2019, TXT Huening Kai also earned love from the public when he fixed a screen for famous girl group TWICE. This happened during the M2 X Genie Music Awards, when the TXT member noticed that the screen in front of TWICE was skewed, and offered to help.
Super Junior Heechul once swooned hearts for his action towards SNSD Taeyeon. When it started to rain during an outdoor event, the male idol immediately took off his jack and cover for Taeyeon, thus creating an iconic moment.
