In the early hours of September 24, Mag Lam shocked viewers during a livestream where she appeared visibly distressed. Pointing her camera at a man in black, the 1990-born singer claimed he was trying to kill her. Shaking in fear and panic, she pleaded with viewers: “I don’t know what he’s planning to do. There are only two of us here. Please, no matter what, save this clip. If anything happens, even if I die, remember him. Remember who the murderer is—he wants to kill me, he wants to kill me.”
Based on the surroundings shown during the stream, viewers speculated that she was in a hospital corridor. The man in black, identified as the “killer” by Mag, tried to calm her down, saying: “Alright, calm down, calm down now.” Another voice also reassured her: “It’s okay, relax, relax.” Moments later, the livestream suddenly ended, leaving fans anxious about her safety.
The livestream only lasted a few seconds but quickly stirred up social media. Many expressed concern for Mag Lam’s condition, especially given her history of depression and other mental health struggles. Others worried for the singer’s safety and urged that the police be notified.

Her manager later addressed the situation, clarifying that Mag Lam was not in immediate danger. According to the statement, the singer had grown emotional after missing a flight back to Hong Kong ahead of an incoming typhoon. She was also deeply anxious about her mother and pet dog. Following the incident, Lam was taken to the hospital for urgent care but is currently safe.
Mag Lam first rose to prominence after winning a singing competition in 2001, becoming beloved for her distinctive voice and emotional performances. However, in recent years, her career has faltered due to ongoing psychological struggles and personal issues. She previously revealed being physically abused by her boyfriend, accusing him of fabricating cheating allegations as an excuse for violence. Fans are now hoping she receives the support and treatment she needs to recover.
