The Devil Fruit that can destroy Elbaf
As One Piece dives deeper into the Elbaf arc, fans are turning their eyes toward one of the saga’s most enigmatic figures: Loki, the cursed prince of the giant race. Once painted as a villain, Loki is now emerging as a potential ally to the Straw Hat Pirates, and perhaps even one of the most powerful beings in the series.
Despite a few brief displays of strength, Loki’s full potential has remained shrouded in mystery. What’s clear is that his strength is extraordinary, so much so that his Devil Fruit is considered legendary within Elbaf. It’s said to be strong enough to obliterate the entire land of giants, and possibly the world – and it all begins with a Devil Fruit consumed 14 years ago.

Loki, interestingly, refers to himself as the Sun God Nika. While fans know the real Nika power is now with Monkey D. Luffy, Loki’s statement may hint at something darker – a destructive counterpart to Luffy’s mythical abilities.
Is Loki’s Devil Fruit Based on Norse Myth?
With Elbaf heavily inspired by Norse mythology, the nature of Loki’s Devil Fruit might draw from ancient legends, particularly from the myth of Nidhogg, the dragon that gnaws at the roots of the world tree. This opens the possibility that his fruit could possess cataclysmic energy powers — perhaps a Logia-type Devil Fruit related to pure energy or fire, akin to the mysterious Motherflame weapon.
Another theory? Loki might have a “dark Nika” version of the Sun God Fruit, one spawned not by hope and freedom like Luffy’s, but by fear and destruction, shaped by those who viewed Nika as a threat.
Chapter 1152: The Turning Point?
Fans won’t have to wait much longer. According to recent teasers, Chapter 1152 of One Piece may finally showcase Loki’s true power as he is likely to soon be released. After revelations in Chapter 1151 about Imu and the Holy Knights, the Straw Hats, and the New Giant Warrior Pirates are preparing for a full-scale war.

It’s heavily implied that Luffy will be the one to free Loki, who has long been imprisoned, possibly due to his uncontrollable power, and that they will together fight against Imu. With Hajrudin rallying the giants and Harley revealing Loki once fought alongside Nika, all signs point to his upcoming release and alliance with the Straw Hats.
Once Loki re-enters the battlefield, fans anticipate a legendary clash with Imu, and the long-awaited unveiling of his Devil Fruit will finally arrive.
