Liu Wei, once publicly lauded for his emotional tribute post vowing to care for Yu’s family, is now being accused of being a long-term undercover agent, allegedly working with figures like Fan Shiqi, Xin Qi, and Jiao Maiqi—individuals previously speculated to be connected to Yu’s suspicious death.
On Threads, a user who claims to be “seeking justice for Yu Menglong” posted a furious expose:
“Liu Wei fans, are you happy now? Confessing to Jiao Maiqi, buddy-buddy with Xie Xingyang, profiting off ‘Chasing Light’ to clean his image after Yu’s death… You really think we believe you aren’t Xin Qi’s dog? You even hurt Yu’s mom. I swear you won’t get away with this!”
Netizens quickly dug up images of Liu Wei and Yu Menglong in matching outfits, using them as alleged “evidence” of Liu’s duplicity. Accusations flew, calling him a “blood-stained opportunist” who’s “profiting off a dead man’s name.”
Another rumor alleges Liu Wei was planted in the reality show Chasing Light to monitor Yu. In a chilling twist, others claim Yu’s alleged girlfriend, Kan Xin, was also an undercover mole who leaked the location of a USB drive containing financial evidence Yu supposedly hid.
