The behind-the-scenes story of Lim Ji Yeon’s smoking scene in Netflix drama “The Glory” is attracting a lot of attention.

Recently, a short video titled “Is Lim Ji Yeon’s smoking scene real?” was published on the YouTube channel “연예 뒤통령이진호”. Here, Lee Jin Ho, a YouTuber who used to be an entertainment journalist, said, “Lim Ji Yeon performed well in the hit drama ‘The Glory’.”

According to Lee Jin Ho, Lim Ji Yeon did not smoke originally, but learned to do so for her role in “The Glory”. In “The Glory”, Lim Ji Yeon played the role of Park Yeon Jin, who gave her classmate Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) indelible pain over school bullying. Although it was her first villain role, the actress received favorable reviews for realistically portraying the worst human being, Park Yeon Jin. In addition, Lim Ji Yeon’s realistic smoking scene in “The Glory” was parodied by many comedians and YouTubers, drawing attention.

“The Glory”, which depicts the revenge journey of school violence victim Moon Dong Eun, will release season 2 on March 10th, with events unfolding full-fledgedly.

The Glory 2

Regarding the 2nd season, writer Kim Eun Sook of “The Glory” expressed strong confidence, saying, “If you’ve seen Season 1, you won’t be able to stop without watching Season 2.”

Director Ahn Gil Ho also hinted that “the fight between Dong Eun and Yeon Jin (who was the main instigator of school violence) will begin in earnest,” and “the story of the perpetrators being punished will unfold dynamically.”
