Lim Ji Yeon shared a story about her contact with Jung Sung Il while preparing for her ceremonial pitch.

On May 21st, Lim Ji Yeon threw the ceremonial pitch at the ‘2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League’ game between Hanwha Eagles and LG Twins held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, Songpa-gu.
Lim Ji Yeon practiced her pitch before the ceremony. She confessed, “Actually, this is my first time at a baseball stadium. I’m not confident about throwing the ball.” She expressed her hope not to cause embarrassment.
She mentioned that she watched videos of “The Glory” actors throwing ceremonial pitches together and exclaimed, “They were all so good.” Recently, Jung Sung Il, who played her husband in the drama, and Oh Ji Yul, who played het daughter, also participated as ceremonial pitchers.
Mentioning Jung Sung Il, who gained attention for his skilled ceremonial pitch, Lim Ji Yeon said, “He is a professional baseball player. So, I texted him and asked, ‘What should I do?’ He replied, ‘You should practice on your own.’ He’s not interested in me,” as she pouted.
Continuing her practice, Lim Ji Yeon successfully threw the ceremonial pitch that day.
Meanwhile, in April, Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun admitted their romantic relationship, stating, “We started off as close senior and junior, and slowly developed feelings for each other.” The two became acquainted while appearing together in “The Glory.”
