Taiwanese actress Liang Yun-fei has shared a deeply personal update, revealing that she recently underwent surgery to remove her entire uterus as part of medical treatment. The 34-year-old actress said the operation lasted more than three hours and was completed successfully.

However, due to her allergies to multiple medications, she was unable to rely heavily on painkillers during recovery. As she was wheeled out of the operating room, Liang Yun-fei recalled breaking down in tears, explaining that the physical pain combined with medication limitations caused significant psychological distress.

For years, Liang Yun-fei suffered from severe menstrual pain, prolonged bleeding, and chronic anemia. Doctors initially diagnosed her with uterine fibroids, but last month her condition was re-evaluated as endometriosis. According to the actress, a full hysterectomy was ultimately deemed the only viable treatment option.

Following the surgery, Liang Yun-fei admitted she entered a period of emotional crisis, questioning her identity and sense of womanhood. “People often say the uterus defines a woman. Without one, does that mean I’m incomplete?” she shared candidly.

After confronting her fears, Liang Yun-fei said she gradually learned to regulate her emotions by educating herself about her condition and carefully thinking about her future. “I’m not overly happy or overly sad. I’ve chosen to face this calmly,” she said. “There are still many things I want to do, and right now, the most important thing is having a healthy body.”

Liang Yun-fei rose to public attention after appearing on the Taiwanese variety show Guoguang Help in 2012 and is known for her curvy figure and tanned, striking visuals. She has previously spoken openly about battling severe depression and surviving a suicidal crisis.

She also drew attention for her past relationship with Hong Kong actor and now a TVB host, Kong Kong. The couple went public with their relationship in 2019 and frequently shared affectionate moments online before eventually parting ways several years ago.
