Lee Young-ji Directly Targets Ticket Scalpers, “Cancel it yourself”

On January 14, Lee Young-ji published a warning on SNS, targeting ticket scalpers.

“Don’t do things like reselling tickets at a higher price. If you bought a ticket, come watch the show yourselves,” the female rapper said, adding, “And cancellation tickets are released around 2:10 AM every day. For those aiming for cancellation tickets, go for it early in the morning.”

Lee Young-ji also captured the posts of ticket scalpers who were trying to resell tickets to her concert on the SNS platform X (formerly Twitter).

“Whether you know it or not, since I’m a Twitter user, I see everything. Cancel it yourself,” she said.

It is known that Lee Young-ji will hold a solo concert, “Lee Young-ji 1st ASIA TOUR ‘THE MAIN CHARACTER’ in SEOUL” in Seoul on February 17th and 18th. Due to scalpers taking advantage of tickets, she raised her voice for fans who were struggling to attend the concert without having to pay overpriced tickets.

Recently, Jang Beom-jun also became a hot topic due to ticket scalping issues. At the end of last year, Jang Beom-jun held a small theater concert at Club On Air in Hongdae, Seoul, which had only 50 seats, making ticketing fiercely competitive. Again, due to scalping issues, Jang Beom-jun canceled all the reserved tickets and adopted a ticket purchase method through identity verification via ID cards and a ticket drawing for applicants to eradicate ticket scalping.

Recognizing the severity of the ticket scalping issue, singers with strong ticket power like Lim Young-woong, Sung Si-kyung, IU, etc., also issued warnings to ticket scalpers.
