Lee Yi-kyung ranked 1st place in the “Celebrity with whom you want to make the 2024 New Year wish” survey conducted by the celebrity fandom app CELEB Champ from the 3rd to the 17th of January. According to the results, Lee Yi-kyung topped the survey with 630 votes (48.46%).
The actor also expressed his gratitude for the No.1 through iMBC Entertainment, saying “Hello, I’m Lee Yi-kyung. Thank you so much for choosing me as ‘the celebrity with whom you want to make a wish in the New Year’. Happy New Year to everyone who voted for me and people who support me”.
He continued, “As the year of the Dragon 2024 has started, I will work harder so that you can be with me until the last day of 2024”.
Lee Yi-kyung is drawing attention with his performance in tvN’s drama “Marry My Husband” as Park Min-hwan, the ex-husband and current boyfriend of the female lead Kang Ji-won (Park Min-young). Taking on the role of the worst husband, he received favorable reviews for perfectly portraying a bad guy whom women should never date and making viewers feel frustrated every week.
As Lee Yi-kyung is famous for his lovely and friendly charm in entertainment programs such as “Hangout with Yoo”, many people were very surprised to see his unfamiliar image as Park Min-hwan in the drama. In this regard, Lee Yi-kyung said, “I’m starring in the ongoing drama ‘Marry My Husband’ as Park Min-hwan. I’m sure many of you hate Min-hwan, but I hope you continue showing interest in the drama until the end”.
