Lee Yi Kyung will take part in the “2026 I Am Solo Run,” a unique running event inspired by the popular dating reality show I Am Solo. The event is scheduled to be held on May 9 in Yeouido and is jointly organized by ENA, SBS Plus, and Chonjang Entertainment.

Alongside fellow MC Song Hae Na and former participants of the show, Lee Yi Kyung is set to run a full 10km course with general participants. After the race, he will also join a talk segment to share experiences and updates with attendees.

The event incorporates elements from the “I Am Solo” universe, allowing participants to run with bib numbers labeled with character names such as “Youngchul,” “Oksoon,” and “Kwangsoo.” Highlights include interactive programs like self-introduction sessions, matchmaking zones, and AI-based pairing experiences, offering attendees a mix of entertainment and social interaction beyond a typical marathon.

Lee Yi Kyung’s participation is particularly notable as it marks a rare public appearance following his controversy in October last year. At the time, he stepped down from multiple programs, including “How Do You Play?” and “Brave Detectives 5,” as well as a planned appearance on “The Return of Superman.”

While he has yet to fully resume regular broadcasting activities, his involvement in this large-scale event suggests a gradual return to the public eye.
