On the April 3 broadcast of the KBS 2TV program The Seasons – Sung Si Kyung’s Ear-Pleasing Boyfriend, Lee Sung Kyung appeared as a guest and shared updates on her recent activities.

When asked about her current schedule, she said, “I recently filmed a drama, and for about a month, it overlapped with my performance schedule. It’s been a while since I’ve had a break. And I also performed in the musical Aladdin for a year.” In response, host Sung Si Kyung commented, “I went to see it, and you were amazing. I heard you even won Best New Actress at the Korea Musical Awards—congratulations.” Lee Sung Kyung previously won the Best New Actress award for Aladdin at the 10th Korea Musical Awards in January.
Lee Sung Kyung recalled the emotional moment, saying, “It was the first time I cried after receiving an award. Whether something good or bad happened, I had never cried like that in front of others before.”

Sung Si Kyung also brought up her bold costume in Aladdin, which revealed her toned abs. He joked, “It was so dazzling I didn’t know where to look. Weren’t you burdened?” She replied, “I felt pressured before the performances, but after doing the show for about a year, I became comfortable. I’ve actually had abs for over 10 years.”
Lee Sung Kyung also spoke candidly about her long-standing dream of performing in musicals. She shared, “Even before becoming an actress, my dream was to do musicals. I admired them so much, but after debuting as an actress, I felt it was such a precious stage that I shouldn’t step on it unprepared, so I kept postponing it.”
She continued, “Actor Kang Hong Seok told me, ‘Now is the time. You should audition.’ I honestly thought I wouldn’t make it. Since it requires approval from Broadway, I was just grateful for the opportunity and felt I had to give it my all.”

During the show, Lee Sung Kyung showcased her powerful vocals by performing songs such as “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, “Love On Top” by Beyoncé, and the duet “Miracle” by Kim Dong Ryul and Lee So Eun, proving her impressive singing ability.
