On October 27th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Investigation Team announced that they would summon Lee Sun-kyun for investigation on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act on the 28th.
When Lee Sun-kyun appears at the police station, the police will conduct a chemical test, collect hair and urine, and request a detailed examination from the National Forensic Service to check whether the actor really took drugs, what kinds of drugs he took, and the number of doses.
Earlier, Lee Sun-kyun’s legal representative stated, “We will cooperate with all the police investigations faithfully”.
On the 23rd, Lee Sun-kyun was booked by the police on drug charges. He is also suspected of contacting hostess bar A several times and administering drugs at A’s residence. In the meantime, Lee Sun-kyun accused A of threatening him to extort 350 million won.
In addition to Lee Sun-kyun, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency is also investigating G-Dragon on drug charges. They began the investigation after securing a statement related to G-Dragon’s drug use from A.
On the 27th, G-Dragon released his official position through his lawyer and strongly denied all the drug allegations. He said, “I didn’t take drugs and I have nothing to do with the recent media reports on the violation of the Narcotics Control Act”, adding “I will actively cooperate with the investigation and answer faithfully”.
