Lee Soo-man sent a congratulatory video to “Soshi Tamtam”, “Girls’ Generation, how about going for 15 years more?”

SM Entertainment’s CEO Lee Soo-man delivered his congratulatory message to Girls’ Generation in celebration of the girl group’s 15th debut anniversary.

The August 2nd broadcast of JTBC’s entertainment program “Soshi Tamtam” revealed the members’ best roommates.

Following Kyung-san in last week’s episode, a letter and tuna gimbap from the dorm auntie, who has been with the members since they were trainees, arrived and turned the whole studio into a sea of tears. Hyo-yeon, Tae-yeon and Yu-ri said that they have been eating meals cooked by their dorm auntie until now, drawing envy from other members. All of them succeeded in guessing the correct gimbap made by their dorm auntie, who is like their “second mom”.

Girls’ Generation members then took on the challenge of guessing the ramen cooked by their roommates. While Soo-young, Hyo-yeon, Sunny, and Tae-yeon followed their own recipes, other members tried to avoid Tae-yeon’s ramen, creating a pleasant scene. “Tae-yeon’s roommate” Tiffany was shocked to know that the ramen everyone avoided was cooked by Taeyeon. She exclaimed, “It’s definitely the end of cooking”. In the end, everyone had a big laugh as Taeyeon and Tiffany were in last place.

The production team listened to some requests and prepared a hidden mission called “Finding the real friend” but all the impersonators failed. At this time, a congratulatory message from a close acquaintance of Girls’ Generation was revealed.  All the members were very surprised when they found out the identity of that person. That was Lee Soo-man, the executive producer of SM Entertainment.

Lee Soo-man said, “Congratulations on your 15th anniversary”, adding “To become better artists in the future, you have to always be considerate, always stay humble, and always show your love. You must enjoy the stages and appreciate the moment that many people enjoy thanks to your performance”, giving sincere advice. Lee Soo-man then asked, “You’ve done well for the past 15 years? How about 15 years more?”. Upon hearing Lee Soo-man’s question, Girls’ Generation shouted altogether, “Alright! Let’s go for another 15 years!”, creating a warm atmosphere.

Sooyoung recalled the advice given by Lee Soo-man before Girls’ Generation’s debut stage “Into The New World” and expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for allowing us to be together again. Please stay healthy for a thousand years.” In addition, Girls’ Generation agreed to donate all the money they earned.

On this day, in addition to finding their best roommates, Girls’ Generation members gave off a pleasant charm by hosting a “viewable radio” together and delivering the story of their fans’ wishes.

Meanwhile, JTBC’s “Soshi Tamtam” is Girls’ Generation’s own variety show launched to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut, where they show off their extraordinary entertainment skills. It airs every Tuesday at 8:50 PM KST.
