Singer Lee Sun Hee has been prosecuted for breach of trust
According to Channel A’s report on the morning of September 19th, the National Police Agency’s Serious Crime Investigation Unit sent Lee Sun Hee to the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office on charges of breach of trust under the Criminal Law.
Earlier in May, the police launched an investigation after obtaining the information that Lee Sun Hee was suspected of embezzling money from One Entertainment, the company she founded in 2013 and served as CEO. The police believed that not only Lee Sun Hee but her family members also used the corporate card of One Entertainment for non-business purposes.
Recently, the police also submitted an application for an arrest warrant for Hook’s CEO Kwon Jin Young on charges of embezzlement but the court dismissed it. Kwon Jin Young has a close connection to One Entertainment as she used to be registered as a director there. Therefore, the ongoing investigation is conducted with suspicions surrounding both CEO Kwon and Lee Sun Hee.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi recently exposed CEO Kwon of his former agency Hook of embezzlement and breach of trust. He also filed a lawsuit against CEO Kwon to claim unpaid music revenue.
Lee Sun Hee has been known as Lee Seung Gi’s teacher, but she did not attend Lee Seung Gi’s wedding in April. According to media reports, the female singer did not receive an invitation from her student.
