On the March 13th episode of JTBC’s “Famous Singers and Street Judges”, the busking performances of the TOP7 of “Sing Again 3” and Horim were revealed.
On this broadcast, Seung-gi Team, consisting of Shin Hae-sol and leejean, and Kyuhyun Team, consisting of EJel and Kang Sung-hee, competed in a duet round battle. EJel and Kang Sung-hee received praise for their harmonious stage, exceeding expectations with their rendition of Kim Kwang-seok’s “Please Wait for Me”. In response, Shin Hae-sol and leejean presented a stage full of deep emotions with Baek Ji-young’s “Don’t forget me”. The evaluation result from the street judges was 6 to 2, with Kang Sung-hee and EJel emerging victorious.
Next, a battle between Seung-gi Team’s Choo Seung-youp and Kyuhyun Team’s Kang Sung-hee unfolded. Choo Seung-youp, taking the initiative, chose “Only You”, showcasing charms not seen in competitions before.
Kang Sung-hee received praise for her performance of Lee Jeong-seon’s “Lonely People” with comments like, “She expresses the loneliness of modern people well, and the song has a melancholic vibe.” Choo Seung-youp lost to Kang Sung-hee and received a penalty of dancing without music. Kyuhyun remarked “Isn’t it itchy?“, surprised by Choo Seung-youp’s dance moves.
Shin Hae-sol from Seung-gi Team and Horim from Kyuhyun Team competed for the title of the groove master. Horim sang “Cleaning”. When a street judge praised Horim’s performance, comparing it to “the desperate struggle of an adorable bulldog”, the atmosphere turned into laughter. In response to the consecutive sensible evaluations from the street judges, Lee Seung-gi commented, “Honestly, I think Jong-shin should come and learn.”
Shin Hae-sol, representing Seung-gi Team, reinterpreted Lena Park’s “My Wish”. A “Sing Again 4” applicant from the street judges said, “I want to resemble her so much. If you’re a vocal music major or someone who sings, you know. She seems too perfect. I’ll work hard and become her junior.”
With Shin Hae-sol emerging victorious again, the final special duet battle took place. Lee Seung-gi said, “Hong Isaac, the winner of ‘Sing Again 3’, and I, who excels in music, acting and variety shows, will go forward.” Kyuhyun responded, “You gave a really cool introduction. Such a self-introduction is not easy. I can’t stay still. So Soo-bin and Super Junior’s youngest member Kyuhyun, the strongest idol sensibility ballader worthy of name, Hallyu idol King Gwanggaeto the Great, will go forward.”
Hong Isaac and So Soo-bin faced off once again. Lee Seung-gi felt pressured, saying, “Hong Isaac has never lost before, so I have to protect this victory.” Kyuhyun said, “If Hong Isaac loses in this battle, it’s purely because of Lee Seung-gi.“
Lee Seung-gi pointed out a 10-year-old girl from the street judges and explained the reason for choosing his hit song “Delete”, “This generation probably hasn’t seen me perform as a singer much. I want to remind them of my first album. If I ask which song of mine they want to hear the most, they choose this song the most.“
Showing his professional side after a long time, Lee Seung-gi received applause for his beautiful harmony with Hong Isaac. Kyuhyun commented, “It’s so cool to see you sing after watching you MC.”
Eventually, in the evaluation results, Kyuhyun and So Soo-bin won by 5 to 3. So Soo-bin achieved his first victory against Hong Isaac. After receiving the penalty of “finger flick”, both Lee Seung-gi and Hong Isaac displayed three cute acts. Lee Seung-gi made heart gestures with his cheeks and fingers, followed by a playful body movement that elicited laughter.
