Lee Seung Gi is confirmed to host JTBC’s idol survival program “PEAK TIME” amidst ongoing controversies 

According to JTBC on the 12th, Lee Seung Gi will join JTBC as the MC of its new global idol survival program “PEAK TIME.”

Lee Seung Gi was recognized for his witty talk and excellent hosting and performing skills as the MC of JTBC’s “Sing Again.”

JTBC’s “PEAK TIME” is the first survival program in the history of idol auditions that will be held as a ‘team match’ and is a program in which idols who have already made their debut compete for the ‘Worldwide Idol’ position.

Regarding the reason for selecting Lee Seung Gi for the MC position, the production team of “PEAK TIME” said, “He is the best and irreplaceable MC who represents the hearts of the participants by combining sympathy for the situation, sensible progress, as well as unrivaled musicality. You can expect more synergy from [him and] the participants than in ‘Sing Again’.”

Currently, Lee Seung Gi is at odds with Kwon Jin Young, CEO of Hook Entertainment. The actor sent a proof of contents to Hook Entertainment, saying that he has never received a proper settlement of music revenue since his debut as a singer in 2004. In response, Kwon Jin Young acknowledged his mistake and said, “We are organizing the data,” said the CEO. “If there is a part to be responsible for, I will be responsible even if I have to dispose of my property,” he added.
